REWIRE at the 3rd European Cybersecurity Skills Conference

On October 26th and 27th, the 3rd edition of the annual European Cybersecurity Skills Conference took place in Budapest, Hungary. Organized by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) under the auspices of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, this event brought together key stakeholders from across Europe’s cybersecurity skills community. The conference provided a unique platform for professionals, policymakers, and educators to exchange experiences, address pressing challenges, and share best practices in cybersecurity skills development. A central focus of this year’s conference was the future direction of the ENISA Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), an initiative designed to guide the growth of cybersecurity competencies across Europe.

Among the invited speakers were Sara Ricci, from the Brno University of Technology, and Argyro Chatzopoulou, representing APIROPLUS Solutions. Both speakers contributed valuable insights drawn from their work on the REWIRE project, which examines trends and needs in EU cybersecurity skills as well as certification schemes. The presentation on EU cybersecurity skills trends and needs leveraged data from the Cybersecurity Job Analyzer, a dynamic web application that analyzes job advertisements across Europe.
