The REWIRE PESTLE analysis report has been completed and is now available for download.
The report presents a Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental (PESTLE) analysis of the skills shortages, gaps, and mismatches affecting cybersecurity education. These aspects were identified collaboratively by experts in each field among the REWIRE partners.
The analysis is expected to effectively contribute to developing a sectoral skills strategy and supporting the objectives of the established growth strategy for the cybersecurity industry. Indeed, skills shortages have a direct impact on the cybersecurity job market.
The PESTLE analysis showed 31 factors in the European level that affect cybersecurity education. Moreover, each of them was analysed more deeply according to the perspective of 11 European countries, focusing on the linkages between the different factors and measuring their level of importance.
